Welcome to The Gables – a beautifully restored holiday home in the historic Conservation village of Tywardreath, a short walk from beaches, coast paths and just 2 miles from the wonderful town of Fowey. This special property is full of historical and magical connections, waiting to be discovered and enjoyed by our guests. We have completely renovated The Gables to provide comfortable and flexible holiday accommodation to suit a wide range of requirements – ideal for a family or group of friends, a small activity group, a convalescent with carer perhaps, or just for a couple needing space to relax. You will find The Gables warm and friendly, and we hope you’ll want to return another year.
With the benefit of brand new facilities including three bath/shower rooms we’re sure your stay here will be comfortable and warm. With the help and advice of our experienced agent, Estuary Cottages in Fowey, we believe we have created the perfect home for your holiday or break.
Outside there are beautiful gardens to front, side and rear and a Listed Medieval barn at the rear of the property, which houses a full size table tennis table for our guests to make full use of – and take the pressure off the cooks in the kitchen.
There are lots of things to do around the Tywardreath area, The Eden Project to name just one of them, is just 2 miles away. see our Local Attractions page for more info

The Gables is excellent! This is a truly wonderful place to rest and recuperate. The house is very spacious and has many quirky and interesting features. The garden is delightful – quiet and private at the back, and you’re ‘The King of the Castle’ at the front. We’ll have to come back again, a week simply isn’t long enough!
We found The Gables to be ideal for a group of ramblers. The flexible accommodation allows for couples or singles. The house is equipped to a very high standard and Tywardreath village has the best of both worlds, being away from the crowds but so well placed for buses and trains. A walkers paradise with well signed routes on the doorstep!

We really enjoyed the veranda for breakfast, drinks and dinner. It felt very sophisticated! The whole house feels luxurious and is so well equipped. All the games were great too. Regular Connect 4 contests and The Viking game. No need for the telly. The Waistell family
