The Back Garden
A sheltered, private garden, with ‘secret pathway’ leading to a secluded top garden. Seating and tables in both areas.
The Upper Garden
The orchard is a side garden, has two cooking apple trees (a Grenadier and a Brambly), a Conference pear and a Beurre Hardy pear, a Fig and some cherry trees.
The ancient barn has access at the side and a full size table tennis table for everyone to enjoy. There are a few extra chairs in here and plenty of space to put your bikes or canoes if you have them.
There is a drive at the side of the property where it is possible to park on near the granite gate posts. Or open the gate and drive right round to the back of the property. There is also parking at the road-side at the front. Be mindful of traffic when getting in and out of your car, and keep a close hold of children.
Much of the original planting was organised by my Uncle Oliver MBE, horticultural specialist. There are flowers and interesting shrubs at all times of the year.
The Front Garden
The front garden overlooks the village and all that goes on there. The gardens are full of flowering shrubs, roses and a delight to look at at all times of the year.
